04-17-14

Since I'm not ready to commit to anything in the sector yet, I've put together a list of the stocks I watch that lost the least over the past few weeks. These are good candidates for the next time the market goes sour or in theory will likely recover more quickly than the others.

04/16/14 - Recap

Today was a better day for the mj sector than I have seen in a while. I'm not saying we have reached the bottom yet but I have not been more optimistic since the bottom began falling out. Many of the historically better acting stocks closed in the green today.

ERBB - was up all day and closed green. Guessing the reversal is in but need to confirm

04/16/14

The sector is still getting beat down. With 4/20 coming this weekend, I am expecting the market to start heading back up at any time, but that is only based in psychology and the fact that everything is so cheap at this point. Although everything is a bargain right now, it can still go lower so I don't see anything that I would be willing to buy just yet.

ERBB - The chart is broken but I can't think of anything in the sector that isn't. There is still a lot of media covering ERBB so I think it has a decent chance of coming back ahead of the pack. We shall see.

04/15/14

I don't see any really solid setups today so I will be focusing on the continuation plays from yesterday.

04-14-14 Recap

I think the sector is still trying to get over the PHOT and CANV halt problems. hard to say how long this will remain an issue but until something changes it will be rough sailing. This is a time to be nimble and alert.

GRAS - This was a long shot play I mentioned in March - I thought it would breakout eventually but wasn't sure how long it would take to trigger. So I bought a fist full of shares and put it on the back burner. It finally broke out today closing up 118% - I didn't sell today, I'm hoping it has another day left in it.
[Original post from March]
GRAS --- Long Shot Call Out --- Warning --- Don't buy this stock --- seriously --- I wouldn't if I were you --- That being said --- I plan to buy this stock, maybe --- because I'm crazy --- looks like a bottom just like it has for the past 3 years --- I have a few technical reasons to think it will go up but not that I am talking about at this time.

ERBB - Had a great day today assuming you sold in the first 10 minutes. I really expect this to close green today with all the press. If you look at the daily chart, it still looks decent and I think this makes a good swing trade so I am holding for now.

HEMP - Had a decent day with a close at .0823. I still think this is a good swing trade and will hold for a while longer.

DEWM - went sideways today - I still think it is a bargain and I am holding.

PZOO - Closed down today bouncing off previous support and the 20 day sma. I'm waiting on a buy signal which has not yet come IMO.

TTDZ - Closed down at .0317. It's not exactly broken yet but I will avoid this one until I see a setup.

FITX - Was up a bit today which is promising but with the sector in chaos, this could be a dead cat bounce. I will need more proof before I will get back in to FITX.

Watch list for 04/14/14

My thoughts on the MJ market in general - Everything has taken a beating recently. With few exceptions, prices have been knocked down to the levels they were two to three months ago. That means that everything is on sale but like anything else, you want to get a bargain and not just something that is cheap. -- suggest that you watch to see which companies are the first to start their rebound when the sector turns around. In general, these are the strongest stocks in the sector and are known as the best in breed, think Apple in the tech sector.

ERBB -  Today is the make or break day for erbb IMO. I expect it will have a great day but we shall soon see. Long and Strong.

HEMP - The floor dropped out on HEMP and gave a good entry in the .07 range. I bought some when it hit .09 a few days ago thinking it could hold up but I was wrong. Today was a monster day however and I am back in the green where it closed at .10. Where we go from here is a bit tricky but I can't help but think it's time for HEMP to step up again head north. I'll play it as it goes and sell on weakness or a reversal sign. But however you look at HEMP, anything under 10 cents looked like a bargain to me.

DEWM  - Like almost everything, DEWM is on sale and I think it's a great buy at anything under a penny for a short to mid term play.

PZOO - Did test the 8 day Friday and even closed below it a bit. With this dramatic of a pullback, I would wait for an obvious reversal sign before I get back in. I expect it to go back up soon but the market has been too bad for me to trust it after a day like Friday.

TTDZ - Is raging back after bouncing off the 20 day. I'm not sure how to play this one but I'm guessing it will be putting in new highs very soon.

FITX - is continuing it's fire sale with anther down day. It's getting very close to the level where it would be hard to pass up. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a bounce in the .05 range which in my estimation would be a good entry point.

Watch list for 4/10/14

ERBB - It does appear the rebound is now officially underway. I still think it has a shot at the .16 range but I am going to be cautious. If the rebound doesn't show strength, I will start taking profits sooner rather than later.

DEWM - Dropped to the basement yesterday to around .005 and has been fighting back up to .0075 where it closed today which was just short of going green. I don't like to call a reversal in cases like this because I get burned too often doing so. However, I think this is a good price to get in for a swing trade or maybe a mid range hold. I bought today and plan to hold it a bit to see if it can get back to old highs again.

FITX - is an avoid until something big changes.

MCIG - Seems to have rebounded and looks like a buy at .081 for a breakout. Probably safe to by it now but I'd rather wait for the breakout.

PZOO - This looks like one to keep an eye on for a good entry. It's overextended now but may have some upside left in it. The best case would be if it consolidates a bit at current levels and lets the 8 day catch up. At that point I would look to get if it breaks 062 on good volume. I'd look for a pop if it breaks the .062 barrier even if it doesn't consolidate first but I think it will have more of a run if it does.

04/08/2014

There were a bunch of stocks that appear to have bottomed out today. I don't see any breakouts on the charts but things should be looking up if this is the rebound day.

ERBB - It bounced off the bottom today and almost made it green closing on it's high of day of .058. I'm guessing tomorrow will be up and the start of the come back.

4/7/14

The entire MJ sector went to pot today...Many profits went up in smoke... but tomorrow is another day.

ERBB - Had a major shakeout today. I'm still positive on the stock overall. I stand my earlier predictions.

Watch list for 4/4/14

ERBB - Had another consolidation day today - I sold half of mine a couple days ago and plan to buy back in on a dip or if it starts to breakout. I'm guessing it will breakout when they release news of them shipping their first machine. My guess is that it will make it to about .16 if it does breakout above .114.

ITNS - This has formed a pennant pattern above the 8 day at around .02. It is likely to make a move in the next few trading sessions and my guess would be to the upside. I will watch for a breakout with volume around above .02.

DDCC - I think this is still worth keeping on the back burner. If it ever breaks .03 I will get in. I expect it will run very nicely at that point.

FFFC - This was on my B list slow play watch list a week or so back. I bought it at .0016 or so. It made it to .0024 today and closed at .0022. I think it still has room to run and I am sticking with it till at least .0047 but maybe higher.

TTDZ - WOW, Ive been in and out of this one but should have just stayed in. Closed today at .0357 and shows no signs of stopping. My plan is to buy on the next dip that comes close to the 8 day assuming everything still looks right.
